I experienced extreme sensitivity to any bright light and had to dim the computer screen during treatment. Otherwise, in between treatments, I'm fine.

After chemo, my eye pressure (I have glaucoma) went sky high. I had to have eye surgery asap.

Update: my mom her vision checked after completing 7 mths. of chemo. Her perscription changed, but she has her passion of reading back! Its great to see her have some normalcy back! What a difference a year makes! Last year she was given 2 years to live and is currently cancer free! Keep fighting all and many blessings your way! Thanks for all of your responses!

This has been a truly hard decision to reach out and seek advice. I think a lot about how my mom and what she's going through is going to affect us forever. I feel that I can't celebrate the small things ultimately because I worry that other bad news will follow. I feel that I need to be strong for her, but find myself becoming emotional at various times throughout the day? Is that normal?

Drug or Chemo Therapy: My mom was told at her first session of chemo that she will lose all of her, but it turns out that her being on Folfox has hair thinning, but no complete loss of hair. Interesting.....I guess it paid to transfer her to another oncologist!

Procedure or Surgery: My mom had 1 1/2 feet of colon taken out and continued chemo. A little over a week ago, she also had her right lung resectioned and continues on with chemo. It appears that her oncologist wants the other two nodules taken out of her left lung after her next CT scan.
