My red cell count was below 1, and the cardio. said that's where the pain and sob was coming from. He ran some test and said my heart is in great condition. So I now get a bag of blood and iron with each chemo., I go 8th for a ct scan to make sure that everything is still maintaining. I have been feeling a little better each day, I have finally been able to walk 2 blocks. I haven't been able to do that since Sept.. Sorry about the neuropathy, I had that with the cisplatin. It was rough for a couple of months. I sure gave the ems in my community a work out during that time. Take care, and I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

Drug or Chemo Therapy: still doing chemo., started getting sores in mouth, so after this week, I will get a week off!! Then start back, it seems to be maintaining everything at this time.

It is now the end of July so I'd suppose you've resolved your issues, yes? Please post something about what went down and what/how you are doing. Thanx.

You may not like what I'm about to say but it will allow you to always feel hydrated. Gatorade isn't good for you. It contains weird chemicals. Some little girl just ran a petition to have the company get rid of some toxin in its brew .., and they promised they would but have yet to announce they have done so.

Anyways, like them or not, eat green leaves. If you can but chew each mouthful 50 times or more, the leaves have an amazing amount of juice in them. You'll be eating half your water. The leaves have nutritional qualities and almost zero calories. Some are sweet and others bitter but you can always pair off with something else for contrast. Beets (sweet) which are cut into matchsticks, for example, are lovely with watercress (bitter) and a fresh vinaigrette.

Hoping you are feeling much better on the road to wellness.

I admit it's probably too late for me as My NHL wasn't discovered until it was stage 4.
BUT I try and help others especially so called well people to prevent this HORROR...
Eat Food that were designed for us to eat.....really simple.
They grow on trees, bushes and in the ground for best health.
OF COURSE nothing cures death but we can try and stay feeling good for as long as possible.
Our kids are very heavy and are going to have LOTS of problems later on and probably bankrupt our Health Care System.
GOD doesn't make mistake. Eat a Raspberry not a Cow Part...

sorry you are having these issues, I have been there and went thru that part. It has gotten way better, my appetite is slowly coming back, I am finally regaining some energy. But the irritation below is still there, I am scheduled to visit my radiologist so we can come up with a plan for this. I was having problems with having urinary tract infec., every other week, but the yogurt and cranberry pills are helping with that. It's hard to eat the yogurt, not my favorite food.
I went yesterday for another chemo.treatment but had to get a bag of iron and one bag of blood, due to extremely low red cells, and my blood pressure was real low. I have to go back next week for bloodwork, and possible blood and iron again. TAKE CARE!! I will praying for you!!
