It is really an individual case by case issue. The stats are old on the internet and they do not break down age, general health, immune system, etc. so its not a good indicator for you. So, you can think about the things you can control like exercise, stress, eating right, having a network of joyful components to your life, meditation or prayer as all of these have had proof of having a positive impact on reducing cancer return. As for treatments these are changing every single day because the progress is happening so fast that treatment today will not be the same in 6 months to a year.

CAS gives you the facts. I am an example of that. I done everything I could after my first two diagnoses for Hodgkins. I was in good shape, healthy, never had to go to the doctor, but if I seen something or felt something that was strange, I went to the dr. 18 years went by and I was diagnosed for a 3rd time. This time a different type of cancer. During those 18 years I did not sit around and worry about if it was going to come back, because we cannot control that. I went about life like there was never anything wrong with me. I believe in living for today, and don't worry about what we cannot control. Easy to say, sometimes hard to do. We wish you the best!

Does anyone know anything about the Recurrence of Anal Cancer? Mine was stage 1/II early detection and treatable with good success levels. My treatments are finished - chemo and radiation - waiting 2 months now for scans. The waiting is hard. It's in God's hands.
