My husband has had a cough for about a month. Had chest xray which showed a suspect area. Had CAT scan which at first showed cancer to be over 5 cm. Had bioposy. Results showed cancer site to be around 3 cm. Went to oncologist who explained and showed both xray and CAT scan. Oncologist sees no other troublesome areas and is 75% sure that cancer has not spread. It was in its original location and had not spread from any other site. Next step will be a PET scan and MRI. If there is no indication that cancer has spread, his case will go before the tumor board which will decide course of treatment. Blood tests have been taken and there is no sign of infection. Good red blood count. All tests were normal. Oncologist believes he will have surgery with no chemo or radiation. Every test, every new doctor, every waiting period is a form of XXX. All doctors have been available, and kind. All questions that we have asked have been given an answer. How do we get through this part?

If you will repost this on the questions tab at the top of the page, you will get a lot of response and help. Just ask what you feel like you need to.
