I would double check with cardiac doctor. I have enough issues that I check with my docs re changes, additions to meds...even herbal stuff and vitamins. Hugs!

Would you tell me some of the side effects you experienced? I have recently begun arimidex and haven't experienced any major problem. But last week, while on vacation I had several very severe back pain right under my rib cage. Advil, Tylenol did nothing. It seemed to wrap around my whole body. I'm wondering if this could be a side effect? I had also just received an infusion of herceptin which has never caused me problems in the past.

The zingers are quite normal. I did talk to my doctor and they said it is pretty common.

I agree with 2943 - you did not overreact. You're just cautious. And there's nothing wrong with that.

My radiation was 3 years ago and my breast is still exquisitely tender at times. I've pain in my sternum, collarbone and ribs as well. I use a compression pump to keep lymphedema in check . The pain seems to increase when I feel there is swelling. Radiation stirs up all your tissue and a pain reaction - even months or years later - can happen. I would opt for ice packs before using heat - and ask at your appt if you have the beginnings of lymphedema. I had an axila dissection along with my lumpectomy so they were looking for signs of that. My best to you...Oh - re the zingers - very frequent the first year after but they calmed down and became less so as time passed.
