I was scared also when my doctor told me I have to do a SCT. I didn't want to do it , because I was scared. It have been one year and 7 months I did it ,and I am very happy that I made the right decision.i am not going to lie it was rough for me but not everyone have the same experience, I spend two weeks in the hospital, the hardest part of it is the nauseous and vomiting for me, and you will feel weak , but it worth doing it.looking back on all that I have being through, I am happy I have a full life. I am in remission .i take 5mg Revlimid for 21 days off for a week. Side effects are mild nothing to complain about. Be strong and positive .i hope you will make the right decision. sometimes there are cancer centers in your area that offer free wigs. the cancer center i was treated at offered them, and there is another wonderful place where i live called The Gathering Place, that gives them for free, as well.

I'm glad places offer them free for cancer patients. I had one, and I found it itchy and hot even with a cotton skull cap on. Each person is different. And I chose to wear pretty scarves that I received from the American Cancer Society. I had so many that matched my outfits. That part was kind of fun for me.
