When I was bald, my niece, who is a hairdresser brought me some Nioxin products, and I took the Biotin Hair Skin and Nails suppliment all throughout treatment and after. I don't know which one to credit, or just dumb luck, but my hair came back thick and curly. I'd always been a blond (albeit with a little help from my hairdresser), but the new hair was dark with grey streaks. I thought I was a dead ringer for Cruella DeVille! Needless to say, as soon as it was safe, I had some professional intervention to bring me back to my "natural" color. ;-)

If your nails are weak and treatments are over, you need to replenish your minerals. Try taking a zinc supplement and eating cucumbers & celery.

If you are done with treatment, try using rosemary oil on your scalp before you shower (thick stuff). Let it sit about 20+ minutes.

I never lost my hair (two infusions but only one had drugs, as it turned out) but it kept getting thinner. I started using a yarrow tea as a final rinse and let it stay on my hair. It took some time but my hair is no longer getting thinner.

I think the drugs change the shape of your hair follicles.

Using the yarrow also has calmed down the top of my head hair which no longer curls like the rest of my crownung glory but simply goes straight but frizzy. It isnt so frizzy after just 2+ months of the yarrow rinsing.

I didnt realize how well I liked my hair until this happened. :)

I too am a survivor or TNBC. When my hair came back, it was really strange, some superfine wispy hairs and some dead black bristly straight hairs, and not all over. I wasn't too into that "gollum ' look that Twin Birches' described, and I was so used to being bald that I buzzed it off so it could all start again from the scratch. It came back as a cap of chemo curls, with a little coarser texture than before. After about 9 months, my old finer straighter hair texture started to come back at the roots, and I had my first hair cut and color. It was a real turning point and it socked me unawares. I cried and cried.
