I have bladder cancer too. This is a great resource for peer support. This board is extremely active and many have had cystectomy with neobladder. Best to you.

Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): After completion of chemo, my urologist told me I needed to have bladder removed for best chance of survival. I have 2 middle school age children, so I did what any single mother would do. I had bladder removed and receive a neo-bladder. It has been 3 months, and I would be lying if I said it was easy. It was hard but I made it and they say within a year my neobladder should start to respond like a bladder ( not the same, but with training should restore as close to normal as possible) I wish I would of had someone who I could have talked to, I went into this blindly.
