Procedure or Surgery (Surgery): I had a recurrence in my lungs, one spot on the left and one on the right. They were able to remove both tumors and put in a port at the same time, 6 days after surgery I had my right lung partially collapse and had to go back in and have a chest tube for 3 days. I felt like it completely zapped my energy but I'm very stressed also. I'm trying to eat healthy and be positive, I start chemo on March 3rd.

How much can I expect to be able so work while on Folfuri treatment? I'm a nurse in a fast pace environment.

Plus you will be immunosuppressed so I'm not sure you want to be around lots of sick people. I just did the FOLFOX and I was wiped out. Best wishes to you in your healing journey.

Admirable that you want to continue working. Probably a good idea to see how you feel. Can you get disability if you find you can't work? Besides side effects I would think about what CrazyHarry said about exposure to illness. Best wishes.

I have been on FOLFOX and FOLFIRI and found I had a lot more fatigue with the FOLFIRI, though I know everyone responds differently. All the best,
