Loss (Lost loved one): We lost our beloved mother to a very bad cancer (pancreatic). Throughout her life, she never drank or smoked and always took care of herself. She ate the right things, doctored regularly and was very active (worked up until she was diagnosed). It makes you wonder God chooses the ones he does!

Other Care (Hospice): My mother passed at 6:10 am on a Friday morning. She was to be coming home later that morning on the Hospice Program but did not make it. My sister and I decided that she should be at home surrounded by her three dogs and family. Also, to be around her own belongings and be comfortable.

Decision Point (My sister and I had to make the decision about what to do next as far as her care was concerned. She was already advanced to the last stage and there was nothing else that could be done except make her comfortable): My sister and I decided to bring our mother home on Hospice so that she could be with her 3 dogs and spend time with her family where she would be comfortable and surrounded by her own things.
