Drug or Chemo Therapy (Hormone therapy): I start on it tomorrow. Happy Valentines Day to me. I will let you know how it goes. But I am doing well and I am very thankful did not have to have chemo.

    God is good!

Radiation (External radiation ): All went well until the fifth week of treatment when my skin blistered up and we had to take a break for a few days. After that all went well. But I stay so tired all the time.
Finished radiation today. Start my tamoxifen tomorrow.

Procedure or Surgery (Lumpectomy): "We didn't get clear margins". What a punch in the stomach. "I can go back and try to get clear margins......".
Shocked and disbelief. One more chance for clear margins. Thank goodness for clear margins the second time.

Procedure or Surgery: On November 9th I underwent a lumpectomy with SN biopsy. The SN was clear but will not know about the margins until this Friday when I have the follow up meeting with the breast surgeon. The incision is much larger than I expected and the soreness does not seem to be letting up at all. Of course it's only been a week tomorrow. It seems like the doctors provide a minimum pain reliever that has not seemed to help much at all. But it's behind me and I am extremely happy about that. My friends have been wonderful and very supportive. Will post more information as I get it. I know I am very lucky.
