Oh No (Diagnosed): 2nd oh no, had a rectal exam, dr said everything seemed ok, of course then they want to do a biopsie, which showed 1 out of 12 had cancer, dr gave me several options including waiting, surgery, radiation, opted for surgery because it seemed like the best outcome overall for me

Procedure or Surgery (Radical perineal prostatectomy): on 9/9/11 i went in for my surgery, never been out before and i handle pain very well, after surgery that afternoon, minimal pain with morphine pump, dr told wife and kids he got everything and there was no spread to anything else, happy happy joy joy, next day pain was alot more bearable, got out of bed several times that day just to walk the halls, by sunday morning i was passing gas and walking(lol)not at the same time, went home sunday evening, the most problem i had was the anesthia wearing off, very tired for 4 or 5 days after, awake 1 hr , sleep 2 all day long, not normal for me, as far as side effects and impact i still wear a pad although its getting better every day(leaking when coughing, sneezing, gas, straining) other problem is ed, hope this gets better, dr said everything was good 6 weeks after surgery psa was less than 0, radiation or anything else not needed at this time, did give me pills for leakage(antidepressant)3 times aday, couldnt do 3 times aday left me hyper, only use 1 after i get ready in the morning, and of course viagra and prescript for a pump(funny story about pump)
