Hi! I just finished my treatment, so it wasn't too long ago that I was where you are now. I remember being scared and upset. I felt much better once I met with my oncologist and we developed a plan. Not knowing was the worst! I'm 48 with a 9 and 10 years old. I had a lumpectomy and the surgery went extrememly well. The doctors recommended chemo and radiation, even though my cancer had not spread. Though I didn't want to do chemo, I wanted to do everything I could for my children and husband. Chemo was not as bad as I had imagined. I'm glad I did it, but also glad it's behind me. I'm actually on a plane right now, going on an Alaskan cruise to celebrate the end of my treatments! There are lots of people here to help you through this. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
