I am looking for someone who has or had an adult child diagnosed with the same type of cancer: My head is still reeling from the pace at which he was tested, scanned, biopsied, and diagnosed (two weeks start to finish -- all over xmas break). I also would like to find another young adult or two that he can talk with who is either going through this as well, or has been through it. He has handled everything with amazing composure and grace -- but no one is superman.

I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease when I was 24, now I am 28. It wasn't as fast as your son, but when I saw my doctor for questions regarding a lump on my neck she got me in for a CT scan that afternoon. By that evening I had a loose diagnosis of cancer, and the next month an a half I had two biopsy's a bone marrow biopsy and a port put in. It felt fast to me! I am always willing to talk about the experience and what is in store for the next few months and years. It really helped me to have other people in the same situation to talk to.

Oh No (Diagnosed): My son came home for Christmas break from his first semester in medical school not feeling well. We had an appointment with a hematologist two days later. Five minutes into the exam, the doctors said his symptoms were 'highly suspicious' for lymphoma and we needed to find out what kind of cancer he had.
