Procedure or Surgery (biopsy on left lung, 2nd biopsy in one month): This second biopsy was to correct what they did wrong with the first one, even though the first did find cancer, the mass on the left one is much larger than the one on the right lung, and should have been done first. Now we get to spend the next week waiting for the results.
Update: Anyone know what the following means?

Neutrophils, macrophages and multinuclear giant cells with benign
    bronchial cells.

I know it's not malignant, but when I plug this into WebMd it brings me to a childhood disease -- Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis Treatment - Histopathologic, Immunologic, and Cytogenetic Characteristics of LCH -- the patient is 63 years old.

I'm confused. Anyone that can figure this stuff out, please contact me. I really need to understand it so I can tell him what it is. Thank you.

Oh No (Money): Recently, my husband was diagnosed with Non small cell lung cancer, adenocarcinoma. He has been suffering for 15 years with Rheumatoid Arthritis, and has been retired for the last 6 yrs, so money is tight to begin with. He has had so many health problems for the last 5 years, I can't think of where to begin. He has had severe back pain, and went to SDMI for an MRI. They found the cause of the back pain, but also found an abdominal aortic anuerysim, 2 very small nodules on his right lung and 1 small nodule on his left lung. There was nothing to be done about the lung nodules, except sit and watch. Well, they weren't watching close enough because all of a sudden what was a 2 mm nodule and smaller, have more than doubled in size and the lymph nodes in the area have also grown. The nodules are about 13 mm and larger now. He went to see the Thoracic surgeon yesterday, and we found out that surgery is out of the question. Needless to say, we are pinning all our hopes on chemo and radiation. What I am hoping I can find here are the resources to help us pay for all of this. Thankfully, he has insurance but I still have to cover the copays for all these new Drs, and I have no clue where to find the money to do that. I haven't been able to work because I can't afford to hire someone to care for him while I am away from home. He needs someone around full time to help with things that everyone takes for granted. He also needs someone to talk to that can help him cope with everything that he is going through now. I try to talk and help him stay positive, since I truly believe that attitude has a lot to do with recovery, but I feel that it is no longer helpful for him.
