It was exactly as Peroll described. The first couple of times, I was intimidated by the room and the machine. I had seen this type of thing on TV but I could not believe it was me laying on this table under this machine -- tears kept escaping. Then, I started using that time for my morning prayers - and it went so much better. By the end of the 35 sessions, it had become routine. I did have some fatigue and I did burn whereas I had to take a week off to heal. They prescribed Silverdene Cream which worked great. You will do fine and will soon have it all behind you.

I pretty much just showed up for radiation, nothing much to prepare as far as the actual radiation treatments.

As far as preparing for the side effects. I was radiated in the neck and mouth and had mouth sores, lost my voice, was fatigued. So I would try to anticipate whatever side effects they tell you that you may have.

Hope it's smooth and easy for you!

You don't need to do anything. Getting radiation is easy.
