Oh No (Cancer has spread/Metastasized): Goodmorning...I am new here and really not sure where to introduce myself.
I began my journey with breast cancer March 2009 (as best as I can remember).
I was one of the blessed ones who did not get sick from the treatment. This past March I found out that my cancer found its way to my brain in 3 different spots. I located a wonderful neurosurgeon who knew just what to do! I had surgery in March of 2011 followed up by radiation. I just had my complete round of scans on the brain, full body and bones and there are no new signs of any new tumors! Praise the Lord. I do believe in the power of prayer. I had prayer from thousands of people across the states.
I was given a short time but have done so well that my doctor has already said he could be wrong about how much time I have left. I am on chemo pill and doing great. I walk 3 days a week . My oncologist is very pleased.
Before brain surgery I started a support group at our church. I have wonderful help from a christian counselor. He now leads our meetings and is good with comforting family and patients. He relates to members of the group because he lost his Dad to cancer.
More later...thanks for listening.
Have a blessed day,
Victorious
