Decision Point (whether to had reconstructive surgery): Like I said before, I had reconstructive surgery five years after my cancer was diagnosed. Some people do it when they have the mastectomy but I couldn't imagine making the kind of decision when I had so much else going on.

Celebration (Finished treatment): The day I finished treatment with chemo was great. I had radiation after that which was not bad except that you had to be there every day.

Side Effects (Hair loss (alopecia)): Hair loss was my main side effect. My doctor told me I would definitely loose my hair so I wasn't surprised. I also felt really good the day after with lots of energy. My face looked flushed the day after also because of the benadryl they gave me to prevent an allergic reaction. The third day would always be the worst day but was still able to function so all in all not too bad except for the hair loss.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): Lots to say about chemo but won't go into everthing right now but happy to answer questions. That's why I'm on this site. Also had radiation and bone strengthening infusion for osteopopenia.
