Oh No (Cancer is back/Recurred ): Noticed an incredible exhaustion recurring this past March or April. Told my oncologist I could tell I was coming out of remission. Slated for a PET scan if I can get my diabetes under control long enough to have my readings under 200 for 3 consecutive days. Seen the endocrinologist last week and it looks like he might be on to something lol He says the cancer can cause a rise in blood sugar. Did not know this previously. I see the oncologist again in January when I am sure she will start me on the new pill you take at home whose name escapes me currently. Lymph nodes are swelling again. Auxiliary ones anyways. PET scan will let us know if any of the others are swelling as well. Was supposed to see the onc this month but I think she wanted me to have a worryless Christmas and rebooked for January lol I am glad I wont have to do the chemo chair again this time. Am going to ask about a mixed medication regimen I read about the other day. Names just refuse to come to my mind.

I will probably be told on my next oncology appointment that I am out of remission. My WBC is slowly climbing and back up to 17,000 which is what it was the last time they decided to start treatment. This time however, the new oncologist (my old one moved to Bermuda :( ) decided that she would treat with Ibrutinib. A pill you take at home and am monitored monthly? Havent done all of the digging for information on this yet but have been following others who are being treated with it on my Acor list. I love that list! So many others going through the same thing and is a huge support and information center. I am once again, exhausted. No, BEYOND exhausted. I am lucky to make it from my bed to my office chair every day. Its a struggle to even make it to the bathroom. I hate feeling like this so it will be nice to try the new front line treatment. My faith is secure. God has led me on this journey for a reason.

Check and be sure your insurance covers it. We have been fighting to get insurance to cover oral chemo same as IV chemo. I don'y know if it has happened yet.
