Side Effects (Depression/Anxiety): While I've suffered numerous bowel obstructions and been hospitalized for them, the most difficult hurdle has been depression/anxiety. I was once a very independent person and accepting that I need help to live comfortably has been very humbling. Not being able to be the physically active man I used to be has been very difficult to accept.

Drug or Chemo Therapy (Chemotherapy): So far I've completed two rounds of chemo with two different mixtures of drugs. The only drug that has been effective is Avastin. I'm about to start a third round of chemo; a combination of Xeloda and Avastin. I receieve treatment at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Philadelphia. They offer a lot of naturapathic supplements that reduce the side effects
