At the Medical Supply stores they have packets that you can put in yur freezer and reuse several times. I put them in an insulated bag that I use to put frozen groceries in. They are smaller so just perfect for feet. However I still lost the nail on my big toe on my right foot but none on my left. Hope it works! And best of everything to you! Remember you CAN do this!!!

I used hypothermia slippers to prevent neuropathy from Taxol. I also took B6 and Omega 3. I am getting my last treatment tomorrow and did not get neuropathy or lose my nails. As others have said, I may not have had those side effects anyway. The hypothermia slippers and mittens are quite expensive and you need two pair for feet and and two pair for hands. They need to be changed after 45 min to 1 hour. I am an obsessive walker and like to do half marathons and I'm a ceramic artist so neuropathy was a big fear for me. If it was just losing my nails, I would not have spent the money. I do know the company that makes the slippers and mittens has programs for cancer patients to get them at no cost. By the time I decided to use them I didn't have enough time to apply for these programs.
