Fight, fight, fight...As rickbr said, get other opinions. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, they wanted me to do radiation. Because of my medical history I looked at all options that were right for me. Yes its scary and confusing but once you decide on a treatment the peace comes then the armour to fight.

Hello ZBO. Welcome to the site. I too was diagnosed with nonoperable stage 4 Adenocarcinoma of the lung. My cancer had no primary tumor and had already metastisized to the pleural fluid around the lungs. They told me I may not have very long to live - that was 18 months (and still counting) ago. If the MDs think he have no chance to survive, go somewhere else. Cancer treatment Center of America boasts of their success in treating cancers others have given up on. Also check out MD Anderson in Texas. There are other places to go. Google cancer treatment facilities. Agressive cancers should be treated aggressively. Also never loose faith. Your attitude plays an important part in living with cancer - be positive. May G*O*D bless you on thid journey.

Oh for Pete's sake! I hate it when that happens! There are plenty of us on this site who are living testimonies that Stage IV lung cancer does not mean that it's time to call hospice. Check out some of the lung cancer journeys on this site. Make sure you find a good cancer center and oncologists that are on top of the latest treatments - travel if you have to. It's worth it. You and your husband are not alone. Be strong. Be tough. Fight the fear. We're here for you.
